Contact details for Fun and Fitness Nordic Walking on Exmoor

Angela Bidlake's telephone number is 01398 341281. I am based near Dulverton in the Exmoor National Park.

If you prefer, please email me on:  info@nordicwalkingsomerset.co.uk
with a day and time and I will call you back. If you haven't heard back from me within 2 days, it is just possible that there has been some glitch with my email or answerphone, so please do try again.

NB please do not try the email link in the footer of any page of this website as there is a fault with it. The link above should work.

I trained as a nordic walking instructor with the International Nordic Walking Association. I am also a member of Fitness Professionals. Fitness Professionals is the largest and most respected association for fitness industry professionals in the world, with over 22,000 members.

By training with me, you will receive the benefit of my experience in teaching and in adapting the nordic walking technique to cross Exmoor in comfort and with ease:

I will show you a safe, comfortable and effective nordic walking technique.

I will show you how to nordic walk on grass and on tarmac, how to cross the moor, how to cope with rough terrain, and how to negotiate slopes and steps.

I can help you to avoid starting off with bad habits because I have learned to spot the initial signs.

I have developed my own training method which I use in addition to the International Nordic Walking Association standards, to help you to learn quickly, smoothly and effectively. I cover the tuition of the mechanics of the technique with a very lighthearted, informal approach, and I very much hope you will be relaxed and amused and thoroughly enjoy the instruction.

By receiving instruction from me, a qualified nordic walking
instructor, you will learn how to get the best from your poles
for your particular purposes, and you will learn the nordic
walking technique far more quickly and safely than if you try
to go it alone.

I have lived on Exmoor since 1981 and grew up around Tiverton, so I know the area well.

I regularly appear on local radio and television, and in the local press as the nordic walking expert for this area. (Have a look at the Spring 2007 issue of Exmoor, the Country Magazine, published by Halsgrove, for Jane Alexander's independent report of her introduction to nordic walking, which took place at Christmas time, nordic walking around Tarr Steps. My instruction for the introduction to nordic walking was also chosen as the "Best Walk" for Exmoor National Park by the Guardian).

I look forward to meeting you.

As you have worked out, the girl at the top of each page on the banner is Justyna, not me, so, sorry, guys, but don't ring me up just because you're hoping to meet the beautiful and statuesque Justyna.
