Scenic Guided Nordic Walks

For specially commissioned scenic guided walks whilst your group is down on Exmoor on holiday, or on an office outing, please scroll down to read about - the possible length of walk, location, pace, dates and cost (for my regular short social guided walks please refer to the social page).

The West Somerset and Mid and North Devon countryside is gorgeous. There are loads of maps and guidebooks available at the local tourist centers. However, for visitors who may not have a lot of time to spend here, or who do not know where to start, we offer guided nordic walks concentrating on the beauty spots of Exmoor and the Quantock Hills.

These walks are held all year round according to demand. They may last between 3 and 6 hours, depending on what you want, and will be paced according to the comfort and the fitness of the participants.

It is important that you tell us what sort of pace you find comfortable to walk at, whether you have any health concerns, and what your priorities are, before the day, so we may plan the route accordingly. Your priorities might be for example, - a mix of countryside - woodland and high moor, or just woodland, or high moorland, or, lots of time to look at wildlife, or, a good stride out with less time spent looking about. You might not mind getting your feet wet crossing a river and boggy ground, or, you might want a smooth path and easy walking. You might want a brisk pace, or a gentle amble. We need to know!

The Cost

The cost will depend on the location, the numbers of people and the length of time the walk will take.  The more people who come, the cheaper it will be for the individual, so bring all your friends.  However for safety’s sake we will be limiting numbers to 15 persons maximum. There is a minimum charge of £20/hour (shared cost between the group) plus travelling costs from Dulverton to the start point, and the particular charge for each walk will be agreed with you before the day.
