More about Fiona
Further to working in desk related jobs in the energy and climate change industry, I went on to develop a minor lower back issue. With all the sitting down involved, I really wanted to do something a little more active and people focused, and with better work life balance, particularly whilst my children were young.
At that time I found that the gentle movement of Nordic walking was great for my back and I and decided to train as an instructor with Nordic Walking UK.
And now 10 years later i'm still providing training and leading walks in the South Devon area, and i'm enjoying it just as much as the day I started.
I have since expanded my area of expertise to Pilates and personal training and am now also qualified to teach the internationally recognised INWA Nordic Walking qualification. Having attended Nordic walking events in Italy and France, I now hope to run some Nordic walking holidays abroad in the future.
Nordic walking is a wonderful way to improve cardio vascular fitness, posture and wellbeing. But the very best thing about it, is the people it attracts. It's been an honour to meet so many of you over the years. I hope you will give it a try, it's so simple and very effective.

"I hugely enjoyed the Nordic walking tuition with Fiona, she breaks down the technique into simple steps and made it fun along the way. I'm a great advocate for Nordic walking, it gives you a very different exercise experience by stimulating so many senses meaning that you hardly think of it as exercise at all!" Hayley Peters, Director of Patient Care. NHS
"Fiona's expertise has added great value to the Universities Health and Wellness activities." Paul Mouland - Sport and Wellness Development Officer, University of Exeter
